Since the group's beginnings at the 1992 edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival, the feminine jazz quartet Four Roses has gone on to chalk up a staggering 300-plus concerts in such diverse places as New York, Moscow, Milan, Munich, Johannesburg, Dakar, Bogota, Prague, Brussels, La Paz, Antananarivo, Casablanca, Istanbul. etc. Their years of playing together practically jump out of the speakers: this is a light, empathic unit with a strong personality. Their repertoire is made up principally of original songs with English and French lyrics which gives the quartet their unique flavour.
